Temporary Position for 12 Weeks
Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a temporary Sessional Teacher of Equine at our beautiful Broomfield Hall campus over a 12-week period. You'll be responsible for the successful delivery of Level 4 to Level 6 modules and the supervision of dissertation research.
The Opportunity
You'll undertake preparation, delivery and marking, whilst ensuring achievement of agreed performance and quality targets. You'll assist with the planning and programme leadership of the Equine Science degree programmes and will be responsible for a range of modules at Level 4 through to Level 6, including supervising Dissertation research. You'll be expected to strive to maintain above average success rates, using innovation within your teaching and assessing and utilising e-learning, practical and digital opportunities where appropriate.
This role is 9 hours per week; 4.5 hours on a Tuesday and 4.5 hours on a Wednesday.

About You
You'll have extensive Equine sector knowledge, with knowledge and experience in a broad range of industry settings being advantageous. You'll have previous teaching experience and equine experience within the industry. It is essential that you have a degree in a relevant specialism is essential. It is advantageous to have a recognised teaching qualification, alongside HEA Fellowship and previous teaching and assessing experience
