About the Role:
We are excited to be supporting a well-established veterinary practice in Doncaster as they seek to recruit a dedicated and experienced Head Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate veterinary nurse looking to take the next step in their career, leading a team within a supportive and progressive environment.
As Head Nurse, you will play a key role in overseeing clinical operations, supporting a team of veterinary nurses, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will be expected to manage day-to-day operations, help drive improvements, and foster a culture of learning and development for all team members.
Location: Doncaster
Contract Type: Full-time
Working Pattern: 4 or 5 days per week, 8/10-hour shifts, and 1:4 weekends.
Salary: Starting from £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of veterinary nurses and support staff.
* Oversee the clinical operations of the practice, ensuring effective workflow and patient care.
* Assist with clinical procedures and provide hands-on nursing support.
* Drive continuous improvement in patient care, ensuring a high level of customer service.
* Manage stock control and ensure the practice is compliant with health and safety standards.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior nurses and other clinical staff.

Requirements:
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with proven experience in a clinical setting.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Passion for patient care and a commitment to high clinical standards.
