You will be working in the Ground Services department actively supporting and directing the Operations & Dispatch team. Ensuring consistent delivery of high-performance standards in the provision of the smooth, timely and accurate processing of Aircraft turnaround, Internal/External Operational communication and Flight monitoring/record keeping. This is a “hands on” role and you will be expected to maintain Aircraft Dispatch and Weight & Balance competency by remaining involved in the daily operation as required. A demonstrable background in Aviation Ground Handling with Operations/Dispatch/Load Planning experience is required.

* Responsibility for day-to-day management of the Airside Operational Team, including supporting the staff on shift, allocation and monitoring of staff duties, coordination, and re-structuring of the flight programme.
* Ensuring that the airside operation and dispatch staff becomes a key informational focal point for other airport areas.
* Ensuring an effective departmental daily auditing process is followed.
* Assist with the Ground Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the operation.
* Attend Daily meetings with Airline / Airport authorities to discuss and review operational performance related issues.
* Control of Non-Controlled documents on the SAMS.
* Delay investigation and reporting to customer airlines and Station Manager.
* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal and external communications from the Airside Operations & Dispatch departments.
* Responsible for staff performance reviews and appraisals.
Provide consistent and effective Leadership of the Airside Operations in the respect of:
* Ensuring that Health and Safety and adherence to Skytanking Aviation Services, Airline(s) and regulatory bodies processes and procedures are maintained.
* Ensuring accurate, timely and effective use of all internal/external communication/messaging systems.
* Continually challenge existing practices to create improvements within each area of the business.
* Keep accurate records of all Airline Operational Documents and audit flight files daily.
* Ensuring that all aircraft turnaround services are provided in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
* Ensuring Aircraft Dispatch including Load Planning/Weight & Balance is performed in accordance with processes/procedures.
* Ensuring that all operational Service Level Agreements are met and maintained.
* Ensuring incidents/accidents are escalated immediately in line with procedures.
* Ensuring all paperwork and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner.
* Ensuring compliance with airport procedures.
* Provision and maintenance of excellent standards of customer service.
* In the event of any emergency offer clear and direct leadership throughout.
* Always represent the Company in a professional manner and lead by example.
* Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Skytanking Aviation Services.
Core Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years Ops/Dispatch experience in an airline or ground handling environment.
* Must have full UK driving license.
Desirable:
* Operational management experience in an aviation-related field.
* People development and mentoring/supporting experience.
* Airport management experience in ramp or ground operations.
