A leading fashion company is seeking a talented Menswear Designer. The organization is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and the creation of design-led and sustainable fashion, delivering exceptional products to clients and customers in the UK and Europe.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and innovative Menswear Jersey & Woven Designer with a strong grasp of current fashion trends. This role demands a blend of creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop menswear jersey collections from concept to final product.
* Conduct trend research and analysis to inform and inspire design direction.
* Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas.
* Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials that meet design and quality standards.
* Collaborate with regional merchandising and technical teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
* Participate in design reviews, presentations, and meetings with buyers and internal stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fabric developments, garment construction techniques, and industry innovations.
* Ensure all designs align with customers’ aesthetics, quality standards, and sustainability goals.
We are looking for someone with 3-6 years experience ideally with a focus on wovens & jersey. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing for high-street brands and demonstrate a strong understanding of UK and European retail markets.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and pattern-making techniques.
