The Old School House Café The Café is an income-generating venture located in Somerton House, adjacent to the Northern Ireland Hospice. This cozy 35-seat café serves high-quality food and beverages in a peaceful setting, welcoming all members of the public., managed by the Coffee Shop Manager and supported by Café supervisors and Hospice volunteers. Our goal is to provide an inviting atmosphere that reflects the values of the Northern Ireland Hospice, building a reputation for quality and excellent service. Nourish by NI Hospice (pending approval) Nourish by NI Hospice new wellness-focused café aims to expand on this concept by delivering nutritious, sustainable food while supporting NI Hospices charitable mission. If successful, the role will involve managing both cafés and planning for future growth opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day management, including staff and volunteer recruitment, stock control, and financial performance. You'll work closely with the Head of Retail to meet sales targets and promote the cafés through marketing initiatives and social media. Your leadership will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for visitors, reflecting the ethos of the Northern Ireland Hospice. Key responsibilities include managing team performance, maintaining health and safety standards, planning staff rotas, and ensuring operational excellence.
