Our client, a leading marine engineering company, is looking for Platers to join their team throughout 2025
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long term refit project.
Suitable candidates must be NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship qualified. Previous marine/ship repair experience would be ideal.
Full SC Clearance is required and once approved you will be taken through the clearance process so you must be eligible for this. If you already hold full SC clearance, we will ask you to obtain confirmation from the UKSV and it can be transferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform plating/fabrication duties, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure project objectives are met
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols
Work according to the project timelinesRole Requirements:
Proven experience in plating within the marine sector
Ablie to work from engineering drawings
Eligibility or possession of SC clearance is essential
Excellent attention to detail and precision in task execution
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Understanding of safety regulations and best practices
Flexibility to work on various tasks within the project scopeRates and Hours
Umbrella rates:
£32.50/h Day Shift
£40/h Back Shift
£41/h Night Shift
£44.50/h Sunday Back/Night Shift
PAYE:
£24.27 plus £2.93 Day Shift
£29.87 plus £3.60 Back Shift
£30.61 plus £3.69 Sunday & Weekday Night Shift
£33.23 plus £4.01 Sunday Back/Night Shift
Hours - Min. 50 per week
Contract length - 2-3 years
