The Hospital Portfolio Senior Manager is responsible for the operational excellence and comprehensive management of a large portfolio of products. This role involves ensuring an optimal balance between stock levels, production capacity, demand and profitability across Pfizer International Markets. The Hospital Portfolio Senior Manager will continuously track margins and profitability, particularly for strategic and/or high-volume products ( i.e. Sulperazon, Zithromax). Success in this position requires close cross-functional collaboration with PGS, CPM, local Hospital Portfolio Managers, and other teams— anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities to maximize operational efficiency and support business development. Key Responsibilities: 1. Stock and Production Management: Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels in all key markets. Coordinate with PGS, CPM, and above-market cross-functional teams to optimize production capacity and allocation. Identify and address potential stock shortages proactively, understanding and mitigating risks at the market level. Communicate risks and mitigation plans to local markets and inform the leadership team as needed. Identify, address, and support local tender requests (for prioritized products). 2. Profitability Analysis & Optimization : Continuously track margins and profitability of prioritized products. Develop strategies to maximize portfolio profitability, focusing on key strategic products (e.g., margin optimization). 3. Demand Prediction and Management: Collaborate with local Hospital teams to analyze and understand demand trends using historical data and market insights, with particular focus on key markets and brands (e.g., China). Keep the leadership team updated on priority brands’ performance and the overall impact on portfolio performance; raise any concerns regarding production, supply, or allocation. Anticipate demand changes and recommend production or distribution adjustments in alignment with PGS and CPM. 4. Business Development & Portfolio Optimization : Identify growth and optimization opportunities within the existing portfolio. Propose strategies to expand the current portfolio in targeted markets based on global development plans. Lead or support Product and SKU optimization initiatives across the portfolio. 5. Coordination and Collaboration: Maintain direct communication with local Hospital portfolio leads and global supply teams. Collaborate with cross- functional teams ( GAV, PGS, CPM, Medical, finance, regulatory, etc.) to ensure successful strategy execution. 6. Problem Management: Detect potential operational, logistical, or capacity issues early. I mplement contingency plans to avoid supply disruptions. Support markets with customer communication in case of supply disruptions in order to mitigate potential negative impact on patients. Position Requirements: Education : Bachelor’s degree ; MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with exposure to product portfolio management, supply chain, and/or sales and marketing. Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and uncover insights for actionable strategies. Proven ability to lead without formal authority and to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Experience collaborating with diverse, multicultural teams and influencing without direct reporting lines. Skills: Strong communication skills for effective coordination with local and regional teams. Ability to manage high complexity with clear prioritization. Familiarity with hospital portfolio products, international market dynamics, and global/local regulations in key markets. Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with ERP systems or predictive analytics tools. Fluent English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous in-country/regional/global experiences with Anti-Infectives and LOE products is a plus Key Competencies: Results-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
