Business Development Manager – eCommerce & Digital Solutions

The Role: Driving Growth & Expanding Our UK Market
We are looking for a proactive Business Development professional who can generate new opportunities, build strong client relationships, and close mid-market to enterprise-level deals (£50k+).
As part of our growing UK sales team, you’ll play a key role in establishing long-term partnerships and driving revenue growth by selling tailored eCommerce & digital transformation solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead Generation & Pipeline Development – Identify, engage, and qualify prospective clients to build a strong sales pipeline.
2. Consultative Selling – Understand client needs and position our eCommerce & digital solutions as the right fit.
3. Proposal & RFP Management – Respond to client inquiries and create winning proposals for high-value projects.
4. Outbound Sales & Networking – Conduct outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to establish new connections and expand our market reach.
5. Industry Representation – Attend eCommerce conferences, networking events, and client meetings to drive brand visibility.
6. CRM & Sales Reporting – Use Zoho CRM (or similar) to manage leads, track sales performance, and optimize outreach strategies.
7. Collaboration with Internal Teams – Work closely with marketing, development, and project teams to align sales efforts with our service offerings.
What You Need to Succeed
1. Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or eCommerce solution selling.
2. Experience selling eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, or custom web solutions).
3. Strong understanding of digital commerce, SaaS, or digital transformation projects.
4. Exceptional communication & negotiation skills, with the ability to engage key decision-makers.
5. Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and sales pipeline management.
6. A consultative sales approach—you understand how to solve business problems with the right solutions.
7. A self-driven, resilient, and results-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)
1. Experience with composable commerce & headless commerce solutions.
2. Knowledge of third-party CRM & ERP systems used in eCommerce.
3. Previous work with eCommerce agencies, SaaS companies, or technology consultancies.
