Youll share responsibilities across all aspects of Developmental Paediatrics with experienced colleagues and bring relevant expertise in managing neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and Autism. We welcome Part-time applications too Main duties of the job Clinical Care: Conduct developmental paediatric clinics, including medical assessments for SEND, school medicals, safeguarding concerns, and Looked After Children, ensuring timely reporting and documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for assessments, treatment, and follow-up care. Supervision and Training: Provide clinical supervision, peer support, and training for trainees, specialty doctors, and other staff. Governance and Service Development: Participate in audits, clinical governance, and service development discussions. Contribute to achieving organisational objectives and ensure compliance with infection control, risk management, and confidentiality policies. Professional Development: Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including internal and external study leave, and participate in annual appraisals covering the full scope of practice. Operational Duties: Cover for colleagues during leave or short-term sickness and assist in management tasks as needed. Adhere to organisational policies and professional obligations, ensuring high-quality and safe care delivery. Job Plan: The job plan, reviewed annually, will include: Direct Clinical Care (DCC): Clinical activities, administration, safeguarding, peer review, and supervision. Supporting Professional Activities (SPA): CPD, audits, teaching, and service development. Managerial Relationships: Report to the Director of Developmental Paediatrics and work within a structured operational hierarchy.
