BUSINESS CHANGE MANAGER £48,280 - £53,000 York Our client has an exciting opportunity to join our Strategic Projects Team as a Business Change Manager. Their vision is to be the most loved, progressive and responsible way to travel for generations to come. In this role you'll be responsible for managing change within the business to achieve operational readiness and the successful adoption associated with their strategic projects and pipeline. In addition to this, you'll support in driving a consistent approach to change management and how they deliver change across the business. This will include working with subject matters experts and other stakeholders to ensure that change impact is understood, assessed, planned for, delivered, adopted and embedded to maximise benefits. You will play a key role in supporting the Strategic Projects team in driving a consistent approach to change management, best practice and standards across the business. This includes incorporating learnings and innovation to support maximising benefits and future business growth opportunities and embedding a culture of embracing and adopting change. You'll also be involved in; Leading on creating and maintaining the Strategic Projects Change roadmap, to include change impact across the business by audience, level of change, risks and ensure this becomes a value-add tool to engage effectively and support informing business decisions. Working cross functionally with all relevant departments and subject matter experts to assess, document and manage change impact and readiness needs, plan for change, follow governance standards and incorporate a measurement mechanism to track progress against readiness and gain insights to own and act upon. Ensuring change management needs are incorporated into business cases. Ensuring communication, engagement, learning and training plans are embedded within the Change Management Plan. Engaging with Trade Unions, understanding where discussions are needed, involvement, communicating the vision, project benefits and changes for colleagues. Supporting the creation and delivery of a readiness ambassador programme, ensuring opportunities to engage ambassadors are planned for and maximised to involve and bring colleagues on the change journey, including to help shape the project. Working with project teams to design and facilitate discussions or workshops where needed. Playing a key role in supporting the Strategic Projects Directorate to create, deliver and embed a consistent approach to change management and to drive a long-term culture of change, operational readiness and engagement. Capturing learnings to share with relevant stakeholders and keeping abreast of change thinking, models, research and innovations to bring to the department, to support a drive for continuous improvement.What you'll need: We're looking for someone who is passionate about managing change and shaping the way they do things whilst also being able to involve and guide others. You'll also have; Experience of managing business and process change, operational readiness and engagement in a complex stakeholder environment. Experience of dealing with complex problems, creating and translating into simple solutions. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with changing priorities. Demonstrable passion around excellence in user experience, putting people at the heart. Ability to build relationships and effectively influence colleagues and key stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including to articulate and deliver change messages effectively.
