An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to become a key member of the Repairs and Maintenance team (Corporate Property). The main focus of this role will be assisting in the provision of comprehensive administration of the Council’s Measured Term Contracts (MTCs), assisting in the delivery and monitoring of various programmes including processing payments, and assisting in the development of performance indicators. You will be involved in the delivery and monitoring of various MTCs/programmes, including financial expenditure processes and workflow programmes. Support tasks will include provision of information, resolution of queries, and organizing meeting schedules/minute taking.
With an SVQ3/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate subject, you will have extended work experience in a contract management and/or support environment including experience in dealing with measured term contracts, procurement processes, and financial monitoring while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate experience of processing financial documentation with a thorough knowledge of financial regulations and monitoring arrangements. It is essential that you possess excellent organizational and IT skills and are an effective communicator with the ability to collate information and provide reports.
Key priorities for the post holder include supporting Measured Term Contract related activity for all Corporate Properties with a particular focus on the Contract and Supplier Management element of the Service. Experience of Contractor and Supplier Management processes and working with Contractors is desirable. In addition, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and supervising the work of the Assistant Contract Support Officers in the team as well as ensuring they receive appropriate direction, training, and skills development.
This position is temporary for a period of up to 1 year.
Working Pattern
* Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55-minute unpaid break)
* Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50-minute unpaid break)
