The primary role of the Technical Sales Manager will be to secure B2B sales in line with our revenue targets by converting both new and existing customers. The person will be capable of closing hardware and software sales in a B2B environment. A good understanding of battery technology and ideally battery management systems will enable the individual to secure sales with customers. The person will be integral in ensuring customers are satisfied during and after point of sale and that the rollout of Brill Power’s products to customers is effective. This role will be a hybrid role, based in the UK with travel to customers in the UK, Europe and potentially US required. Hybrid working is available, with 3 days a week in Brill Power’s office in Oxford expected initially. Requirements Business development – build and foster relationships with existing partners and contacts, and create new leads for potential customers and partners. · RFP & RFP responses - Develop RFP & RFQ responses for customers including developing and negotiating quotes for customers. · Technical benefits – Engage with customers to help specify system requirements and outline the technical benefits Brill Power technology can bring to their systems. · Revenue generation – grow business revenue in line with business targets by closing sales with both new and repeat customers. · Accounts management – create and own CRM accounts for new leads and manage existing accounts. Report on sales funnel progress using CRM tools in place. · Outreach – Represent Brill Power at conferences, trade shows, networking and other events via exhibitions, presentations, and general presence · Market feedback - Provides feedback to internal teams regarding customer & market insight, competition, pricing, and marketing opportunities · B2B Sales skills – At least 5 years’ experience developing and closing B2B sales in a technical environment. · Excellent communication skills – clear and engaging communication (verbal and written) of complex technical content in an accessible manner is a crucial part of this role · Interpersonal skills – Comfortable communicating with customers on both a technical and commercial level. · Engagement – you should be able to win people’s interest, captivate their attention and engage them in conversations about our business and technology · Initiative – we expect you to take initiative in identifying the needs of the customer and communicate these effectively to other teams to ensure proposals for customers are optimized and meet their needs. · Technical literacy – A good understanding of battery systems and controls is preferred (ideally within stationary energy storage or electric vehicles).
