Our client is currently looking for a CNC Machinist (Millers) to join their dynamic team at Prestwick Aerospace Park in Ayrshire. As a CNC Machinist (Millers), your primary responsibilities will include programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machinery to perform both internal and external milling of components as per customer drawings. Youll also operate manual milling machinery, utilise inspection equipment to ensure precise adherence to sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes, and play a critical role in meeting our customers needs through your meticulous work. Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday: Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8am 4.30pm, Friday 8am 1pm Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6am 2pm, Friday, 6am 11am Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2pm 10pm, Friday, 11am 4pm Early and Back shifts are rotating, following a training period on day shift 33% shift allowance for early shift or back shifts CNC Machinist (Millers) Requirements: Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Time-served Miller with minimum 3 years CNC experience Experience of programming and operating CNC Milling machines Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Knowledge of Fanuc programming language Self-motivated with an eye for detail and effective communication skills Ability to hit the ground running and enjoy working within a small skilled team Customer Service experience is essential, along with excellent people skills Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK CNC Machinist (Millers) Benefits: Up to £18 per hour PLUS a 33% shift premium for early/back shifts 33 days of holiday per year Monday to Friday working schedule with an early finish on Fridays Access to the Death in Service scheme (x2 salary) after 3 months of service Employee Assistance Programme Recommend a Friend Scheme Free Parking Pension scheme Meet the Organisation: Who We Are and What We Do They pride themselves on delivering high-quality precision manufacturing from their modern facility located in Prestwick, Scotland.
