Job Summary:
We are looking for someone that can work independently and with other departments to build good relationships and is well organised to help take our weighing business to the next level.
The position requires someone with a strong technical understanding who can leverage the knowledge to sell our service range. This position would be responsible for direct selling, product delivery and providing strategic advice.
Key Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for:
1. Pro-actively build and maintain customer relationships, securing new business opportunities that contribute to company growth.
2. Show the necessary enthusiasm to grow territory performance by approaching new and prospective customers, be it by arranging prior appointments.
3. Maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent lead conversion and revenue generation.
4. Work closely with the Marketing team to drive market penetration and increase client acquisition nationally, with an initial focus on Scotland and North-West.
5. Identify market trends, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge while maximising profitability through insight from internal and external sources.
6. Provide accurate sales forecasts and detailed performance updates to senior management, identifying challenges and opportunities for growth.
7. Provide a high level of support and service to existing accounts.
Who we are looking for:
The successful Sales Manager will have:
1. Ideally 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within a service-focused business with a track record of exceeding targets.
2. Strong understanding of the sales process, lead generation, and relationship management, with a talent for negotiating and closing deals.
3. Proactive and ambitious, capable of independently generating business while confidently resilient to remain focused.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and present solutions effectively.
5. Ensures team-wide communication through maintaining accurate records within our CRM.
6. A scientific background or understanding (this would be beneficial but not essential).
7. A full UK driving licence.
