The Role
We are searching for a talented Operations Project Controller to join our busy Operations Team based in Renfrew. You will be responsible for project support and management on value stream improvement projects to support the Operations strategic plan. You will be the point of contact for all package build operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to support achieving on-time delivery. This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week. This role is predominately site-based in our modern, friendly factory which has free onsite parking.

What will you do?
* Application of business excellence tools to support cost reduction and efficiency, delivery quality improvements.
* Develop strong cross-functional relationships to ensure successful build of all projects.
* Manage and develop relationships with subcontractor stakeholders as point of contact to ensure execution in line with agreed schedules for each project.
* Develop and sustain accurate project planning and forecasting of resources for all projects to ensure successful delivery of high value, customer engineered projects from assembly to delivery to the customer.
* Support and maintain cost and cash targets, ensure risks and issues are actively managed to ensure the successful delivery of current and future projects.
What do you bring?
An ideal candidate would likely have the following profile:
* Good Project Management knowledge and skills
* Competency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Smart sheet
* Ability to facilitate and run team meetings
* Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
* Commitment to achieving deadlines without compromising quality and cost
* Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
* Excellent and clear communication and reporting skills at all levels
* Customer and business focused Strong team working skills
It’s a bonus if you have (but not essential) ..
* Knowledge of high value, customer engineered project processes
* Knowledge of compressor system packaging technical requirements
* Understanding of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Engineering processes and Rotating Equipment
* Qualified in a relevant engineering / project management discipline
* Minimum HNC in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Lean / Six Sigma trained
