The following Telephonist vacancies have become available within the Trust's Main Switchboard department.
Positions Available:
1. 1 x 20 hours per week - This position will cover a 24/7 rota which will include unsocial, weekend, and bank holiday hours.
2. 1 x 17.5 hours per week - This position will cover a 24/7 rota.
An essential part of this vacancy is the flexibility to be able to cover your colleagues' leave. You must be a team player as well as have the confidence to work alone.
This position includes lone working shifts; therefore, we are looking for someone with a confident personality and the ability to multi-task during busy times.
We are an extremely busy department and the main first point of contact for the Trust; therefore, a courteous, helpful, and positive telephone manner with excellent communication skills are essential.
Last year we received over 1 million calls, and along with handling these, we also monitored and actioned page requests, efficiently handled Crash and Trauma calls, Fire calls, Trust alarms including Medical gas and Estate alarms, Panic and Intruder alarms for both Leighton and Northwich Victoria.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe, and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
