About the role...
Our Audit team is on the growth train! So, Cooper Parry is on the lookout for ace experienced Audit Managers to join the Audit team in the Midlands and push us on to our next phase.
If you have a passion for what you do, are keen to get stuck in the mix, and strive to be the best you, then we want to hear from you.
About the team...
Our award-winning Audit team covers a wide range of clients, including large and complex clients like private equity-backed businesses to AIM listed businesses, as well as a broad, multi-industry client base; we service more privately-owned firms in the Midlands than anyone else.
About the day to day...
An Audit Manager needs to be curious, sceptical, and have a questioning mindset. You need to be adaptable and versatile, with the confidence and composure to engage and liaise with clients and always be on hand to support more junior members of the team. As you know, this is no rigid, eyes-down and desk-bound role.
You'll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including:
1. Manage and own a portfolio of £600k to £750k, as well as owning the relationships with your clients.
2. Work directly with Directors and Partners on projects.
3. Negotiate fees with clients.
4. Oversee and develop team members, nurturing and guiding them through their development, whilst also focusing on your own.
5. Work on more complex and higher-risk clients as well as new clients.
It's hard work... and you love it. You thrive on the client-facing aspect, have ambition, and take pride and satisfaction in spotting and resolving issues at the heart of business activity.
The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further - from Managers to Partners, the team is always happy to support you.
About you...
At Cooper Parry, we're in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You'll continuously strive to keep learning - whether you're a trainee or a Partner - and you'll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.
In addition to those core values, as an Audit Manager you will be a passionate and determined individual experienced in the field of audit with demonstrable experience:
1. ACA/ACCA qualified with previous experience working at a managerial level within an Audit Team.
2. Managing a portfolio of clients and committed to providing exceptional client experience and building effective relationships.
3. Managing a variety of audit assignments.
4. Being responsible for coaching and training a team of appraisees.
5. Managing clients' capital, billing, and debtors.
6. Conducting file reviews.
7. Occasionally be required to carry out offsite work.
Our audit team is energetic, self-motivated, and dedicated to giving a first-class service to our clients. We challenge the status quo, deliver exceptional results, and have fun whilst doing it!
