Job Title: Mathematics Teacher Location: Hartlepool, County Durham, North East England Job Type: Full-time, long-term Primary Industry: Education and Training Job Duties: Deliver high-quality and engaging mathematics lessons to secondary level students Evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations, providing individualised support to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom, promoting diversity and cultural alignment Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, incorporating technology and interactive methods Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress, providing timely and insightful feedback Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics Degree in Mathematics or related field 2 years of proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and educational policies Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability to meet the needs of individual students Organisational skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Education Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning Working Conditions: This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The teacher will be expected to work full-time hours during term time, with additional responsibilities such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities.
