You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
Person specification
Knowledge Skills and Training
Essential criteria
1. Clinical qualification in occupational therapy.
2. HCPC registration.
3. Evidence of further education or continuous professional development.
Desirable criteria
4. Leadership/management training.
5. Degree in clinical leadership or MSc
6. Additional clinical qualification, e.g. AMPs, CBT
Job Specific Experience
Essential criteria
7. Specialist knowledge and application of current best practice of OT in Mental Health
8. Previous experience of first line management leadership.
9. Significant experience of working at a senior grade in mental health, including inpatients, and or community
10. Experience of leading and co-ordinating the work of a clinical team.
11. Supervision of staff and students.
12. Leading and motivating others in service development and quality improvement initiative.
13. Multi-agency working experience
Desirable criteria
14. Experience of managing/supervising work of other AHP’s

Essential criteria
15. Previous experience of managing a budget

16. Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
