WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP TO INDIVIDUALS already in the UK who meet the criteria About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female LIVE IN Complex Care Support Worker to provide 1:1 support and personal care for a 22-year-old female university student with a spinal cord injury. This position is restricted to women due to the nature of personal care provided to the female client who has a specific preference for same-sex support worker. Our client lives independently and you will work alternate weeks [one week on one week off]. Our client requires personal care, assistance with transfers, and support with daily activities, including meal preparation and transportation. Key Responsibilities: • Provide full personal care, including neurogenic bowel management (every three days) and suprapubic catheter care • Assist with slide board transfers (one-carer transfers) and mobility support with manual and power wheelchair • Ensure safety and support during daily activities while respecting the individual’s independence • Drive the individual's Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) – a full UK driving license is required (age 21 for insurance purposes) • Prepare nutritious meals - knowledge of Nigerian cuisine is essential • Offer emotional support and work collaboratively with the individual's psychologist as needed • Accompany to church services on Sundays About You: • Female (Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1) • Aged 20-30 years (as per client request but open to discussion) • Experience in spinal cord injury (SCI) care preferred • Knowledge of neurogenic bowel management and catheter care (training can be provided) • Comfortable with afro-textured hair care and braiding -preferred • Patient, professional, and able to follow instructions while respecting the individual’s right to direct their own care What We Offer: SWITCH VISA.
