Job Description: Contract Manager
Location: Stafford
Role Overview: NRL are currently looking for a Contract Manager to work for a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution sector. The Site Contract Manager will oversee contract administration and management with subcontractors and suppliers to maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing risks. This role involves close collaboration with project and site management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims & Variations: Manage and negotiate project-specific claims and variation orders.
Contract Compliance: Ensure all contractual rights and entitlements are preserved and notices are given as required.
Guidance: Provide support and guidance on contractual issues to project and site teams.
Execution: Ensure successful execution of site activities contracts, meeting commercial, financial, and qualitative targets.
Risk Management: Proactively assess and manage risks and claims.
Records Maintenance: Maintain important site records and ensure processes and tools are followed.
Support: Offer direction on contractual and commercial matters to site staff.
Compliance: Ensure subcontractors and suppliers comply with contractual obligations.
Documentation: Properly document delay events and non-budgeted costs, and notify responsible parties.
Cost Management: Provide advice to minimize additional costs and manage legitimate claims.
Coordination: Support scheduling, planning, and coordination of work, and ensure timely correspondence.
Feedback: Provide commercial and contractual feedback to relevant site and project organizations.
Closeout: Support the closeout of site contracts and produce closeout reports.
Purchasing: Ensure site purchasing terms are commercially sound and compliant with contract conditions and local laws.Qualifications:
Education: Degree in quantity surveying, construction, engineering, or related field. Additional project management or commercial education (e.g., RICS) is appreciated.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in international EPC contracts, preferably in energy and renewable energy sectors.
Skills: Strong commercial, negotiation, and legal skills; excellent computer skills; fluent in English; planning, organization, negotiation, and presentation skills; creative and innovative; goal-oriented; team player.Rate
£42 p/hr Umbrella
Contract Role - 6 month rolling contract
Hours - 37 p/week
