What You’ll Be Doing
As a Technical Service Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our customers, driving technical excellence, and developing bespoke solutions. You’ll work alongside our skilled team, handling:
- Pre-sales Support: Assist our sales team by recommending tailored solutions for client needs.
- Technical Services: Opportunity to travel to site to perform installs with our clients
- Technical Troubleshooting: Offer 2nd-line technical support on a range of technologies—OPC, VPN routers, IoT platforms, cybersecurity tools, and more.
- Client Support: Handle enquiries via phone, web, and email, diagnose issues, and provide high-level troubleshooting.
- Customer Success: Maintain stellar client relationships, ensuring top-notch service and smooth issue resolution.
- Collaboration: Communicate clearly with non-technical clients, making complex tech easy to understand.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Technical Knowledge: Some experience with Industrial Tech (PLC, OPC, SCADA) and basic IT/networking skills are essential.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- IT Networks: Basic understanding of IT networks
- Adaptability: An eagerness to learn new technologies and tackle challenges head-on.
- Client Communication: Ability to discuss technical issues clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Reliability: A dependable, responsible, and solution-focused mindset.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Essential: Right to work in the UK, a valid driver’s license, and a record of education certificates.
- Desirable: Experience in application engineering, product quality assessment, and systems commissioning.
- Driving License: a UK Driving license and use of a car.
- Technical Qualifications (Degree, HND)
