Head of Prosthetics and Orthotics Services

The post holder will lead the highly specialised person-centred prosthetics and orthotics services and manage all aspects of the team to ensure the delivery of high quality and modern prosthetics and orthotics services within the budgetary limits. Both the Prosthetic Service and Orthotics Service provide care and services at regional and national levels, including the Scottish Specialist Prosthetics Service (SSPS).
The post holder will maintain a small but highly specialised clinical caseload.
The post holder will also be the professional lead for all the Prosthetists and Orthotists in NHS Lothian and acts as a professional support/link for other Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) in SMART Services.
Applicants must be registered as a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
