Job Description Paralegal (Lease contracts) Full time London / Hybrid Why Rolls-Royce? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lease Contracts Executive to join Alpha Partners Leasing (“ APL ”), the holding company for Rolls-Royce's captive engine leasing and asset management businesses, based in London. APL has been a joint venture between Rolls-Royce plc and GATX since 1999, but the business is solely managed by Rolls-Royce employees. You will be supporting the Aether Asset Management (“ Aether ”) team, which manages the largest pool of Rolls‑Royce engines in the world and whose mission is to optimise the Rolls-Royce short-term lease process in order to better serve airlines taking lease engines under TotalCare maintenance support contracts. Aether’s primary goals are to deliver services within agreed timeframes, improve the turn-around-time between leases, maintain the asset value of engines under mentorship and minimise risk for all asset owners. This is an important role in drafting contracts and managing the closing of transactions. The role is diverse and requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and to prioritise workload, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers worldwide. Accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail are essential. The size and structure of the APL organization means that you will work alongside and communicate with senior team members daily. What you will be doing : Responsible for drafting specific lease contract documents needed to support engine deliveries in accordance with approved templates and will be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of such documents. Responsible for dealing directly with engine owners, airline customers and suppliers and stakeholders within Rolls-Royce to support its short-term lease offering. Responsible for releasing engines to airline customer at a commercial level, ensuring that the required customer documents, such as KYC or insurance certificates satisfy internal and/or third-party guide standards and identifying any commercial risks or gaps. Responsible for ensuring all post-closing contractual actions and administration such as filings and security creation/release are completed, including the creation of records on IT system, filing of contracts. Responsible for ensuring customer insurance certificate renewals are completed as needed. Responsible for the development and maintenance of commercial templates, tools and guides as needed to support delivery and redelivery, subject to approvals by third party asset owners and/or the third part asset owner’s Legal Counsel. The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
