If so, Torus Foundation is looking for a Youth Manager – Open Access to join our team at FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool. Based at FireFit Youth & Community Hub 3 days per week: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM 2 days per week: 2:15 PM - 9:45 PM – All applicants must be comfortable working two evenings per week Occasional weekend work required Managing a team of four, including 2 Youth Workers and 2 Youth Work Apprentices As a key member of the FireFit Youth & Community Hub Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading and developing outcomes-focused open access youth programmes. You will ensure that all youth work aligns with Torus Foundation’s Youth Impact Framework, embedding youth voice, participation, and safeguarding best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team to deliver exciting and inclusive open access youth programmes. Develop and deliver youth work that is responsive to the needs of the community. Empower young people through youth voice initiatives, ensuring they shape the programmes. Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness using Torus Foundation’s Youth Outcomes Framework. Work closely with the Youth Manager – Targeted to ensure youth work is integrated and impactful. Manage budgets and oversee funding compliance and reporting. Lead on safeguarding, ensuring all youth activities are safe, well-managed, and risk assessed. Build strong partnerships with schools, community organisations, and stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Level 6 professional qualification in Youth Work (or equivalent experience). Proven experience leading and managing open access youth work programmes. Ability to evaluate, monitor, and enhance youth services. Extensive experience working directly with young people, understanding their needs. Strong expertise in safeguarding and risk management. Excellent leadership, team management, and staff development skills. Knowledge of youth work models, including open access, outreach, detached, and social action. Interview Process The interview process will be a two-stage process: Stage One: A practical assessment to evaluate your skills Stage Two: A competency-based interview to assess your experience and approach to youth work.
