The Betting team at TMG is responsible for answering any question that someone might have in the sports betting and iGaming industry. Whether it’s who is going to win the big race at the weekend or which betting offer is currently the best in the market, our content will have it covered.
We work hard to ensure that our content has the widest scope possible reaching the biggest audience possible, particularly during the largest sporting events of the year.
As a Commercial Betting Writer you will be responsible for producing engaging, insightful and well-researched articles to inform readers on their betting needs. You will use your passion, expertise and industry insights to create content that our core audience will find useful, informative and entertaining.
You will strive to provide the editorial excellence readers have come to expect from the Telegraph’s extensive sport coverage.
Key responsibilities
* Create overviews of betting markets and odds for various sports
* Write betting tips on the UK’s leading sports with detailed explanations and analysis
* Impartially review online bookmakers and casinos
* Ensure timely updates are made to content
* In-depth research to support content production
* Have ownership of articles - confident to put their name and well-informed opinion into pieces of work. Willing to track the performance of their predictions
* Work with the wider team (e.g. SEO, Commercial) to contribute towards content plans
* Work with the wider team to continuously improve and optimise the content being produced
* Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
Requirements
* A passion and knowledge of one, or ideally more, of the following sports:
* Football
* Horse Racing
* A passion for betting and iGaming
* Experience using a wide-array of bookmakers and knowledge of their offerings.
* Knowledge of the iGaming and betting industry.
* Strong writing ability - efficiently produce well-written and engaging content.
* Time and task management skills required to meet production deadlines autonomously.
* Goal-orientated, with the ability to think both commercially and editorially.
