TEACHER OF DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
SALARY : MPS / UPS
CONTRACT : Full time

STARTING DATE : 1st September 2025
RESPONSIBLE TO : Head of Technology
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Design Technology, specialising in Food Technology, to join our outstanding Technology department. The department has a range of specialist rooms and is well equipped, with both traditional and new technologies supported by two technicians. Staff form a hardworking and professional team who have a relentless focus on ensuring all students have a wide ranging and enjoyable experience within the department.
Technology is a very popular option choice and students achieve excellent results at both KS4 and KS5, recent results in all areas placed the department in the top 10% nationally.
The post is suitable for a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced member of staff. The successful candidate will teach:
· Mixed ability groups in Key Stage 3
· Eduqas GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition at KS4
· The ability to teach an additional specialist area at Key Stage 4 would be an advantage, but is not essential
