Are you passionate about quality, process, and precision on major construction projects? We're working with a leading contractor to find a Clerk of Works / QA Manager for a permanent role on a prestigious £50 million BTR development in Birmingham City Centre.
This is a standout opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering a landmark residential project—and to take ownership of QA processes, systems, and documentation from the ground up.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Lead and implement quality assurance procedures across all project stages
2. Monitor site activity and ensure compliance with specs, drawings, and industry standards
3. Work closely with the Document Controller to maintain an accurate audit trail
4. Champion digital QA tools and systems including Field View to maintain the golden thread
5. Liaise with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to uphold quality standards
6. Provide regular reporting and inspection updates to the project leadership team
7. Identify and resolve issues early—ensuring a smooth handover and minimal defects
What You'll Need:
1. Strong experience in a Clerk of Works, Site QA, or Quality Manager role
2. Previous involvement in large-scale residential or BTR schemes
3. Excellent working knowledge of Field View (or similar QA platforms)
4. Attention to detail and an analytical mindset
5. Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
6. Solid understanding of construction legislation, drawings, and best practices
