The Energy Systems directorate is leading the Distribution System Operation (DSO) transition, delivering an increasingly smart and flexible energy system for our customers and enabling net zero with maximum resilience at minimal overall cost.
This is an exciting opportunity at a time of significant change within the energy sector. We are looking for an experienced manager with a strategic outlook to join us as the Performance & Integration Manager. You will play a key role in the energy transition, helping set strategic direction, manage a complex programme of change, track benefits delivered, and drive performance.

What will you do?
* Lead the creation of strategic planning for the directorate combining business priorities, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement to deliver effective short and medium-term plans.
* Own key regulatory frameworks including the DSO Incentive and the Major Connections Incentive, ensuring we are planning and delivering to improve performance.
* Lead internal initiatives within the directorate to drive effective employee engagement and create a high-performing team, dovetailing into our company-wide Power of 10 cultural programme.
* Deliver a benefits management framework to forecast, track, and measure the value that DSO is delivering for our region.
* Design and deliver programmes of stakeholder engagement to communicate and co-create, ensuring our plans have a comprehensive understanding of stakeholder needs.
* Manage headcount and financial budgets for the directorate, including annual planning, monthly tracking, forecasting, and organisational design.
* Own processes to feed internal management reporting.
* Excellent communication skills – clearly communicate across different audiences, summarising key issues for Exec level consumption through to describing complex concepts in simple, understandable terms for external stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking – create clear plans based on sound analysis of multiple and complex drivers.
* Relationship management – positively engage with internal and external stakeholders to influence and build relationships.
* Continuous Improvement – drive continuous improvement, effectively identifying and prioritising opportunities to improve or create new business processes.
* Building teams – build an effective team around a clear vision and deliver through others.
* Programme and change management – manage a complex programme of change that impacts a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
What qualifications and experience should you have?
* Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject
* Relevant experience of strategic planning
* Relevant experience of running a managed environment
* Full driving licence is desirable
