As the General Manager, you will have ownership over the sales strategy and to manage all the staff in the Operations department. This position is a front-line role dealing daily with all SWTM departments, customers and suppliers. You are ultimately responsible for the smooth running and delivery of the service department and its depot.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that interdepartmental communication is kept to an optimum.
2. Oversee depots located with Cumbria & North East.
3. To keep abreast of goings on within the company and its subsidiary departments.
4. Ensure that the workforce is happy, focused, driven and productive.
5. To make sure the company complies with any laws and guidelines that are relevant to the industry.
6. To ensure that any budgets and profit targets are worked towards at all times.
7. Be aware of cash flow and any accounting issues on a daily basis.
Person Specification:
8. Working knowledge of Health and Safety and the Chapter 8 requirements.
9. Account management and Business development experience.
10. Great communication skills and a clear understanding of markets and consumer behaviour
11. Experience and knowledge of the designated region, and the key players within it.
12. Excellent leadership skills and qualities to gain the best results from others within the department
13. Ideally the candidate will have the following qualifications NHSS 12D M7
