We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Provide test engineering design and technical service for our power manufacturing facility, EMD (Electrical-Mechanical).
2. Perform all functions of test consulting, conceptual design, and cost estimation.
3. Work autonomously and as a member of product teams leading the testing efforts of medium voltage motors and generators.
4. Develop test plans, specifications, and procedures to support design requirements.
5. Lead the design, implementation, and operation of test facilities.
6. Train and provide technical direction to operations personnel in execution of test programs.
7. Review and analyze test results.
8. Prepare reports and proposals.
9. Provide technical support for all aspects of the division's test facilities and programs.
10. Work on cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues within the division.
11. Participate as a project team member (development or production order).
12. Understand the customer's requirements for testing the product.
13. Interface effectively with internal customers (project team personnel).
What you Bring:
1. Minimum education is a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. 5+ years of experience involved with design, testing, or operation of rotating electrical equipment and/or medium voltage drives.
3. Experience with Generators.
4. Working knowledge of instrumentation related to vibration, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic measurements related to product testing.
5. Ability to read and understand drawings and single line diagrams.
6. Must be sole US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
