The ideal candidate will be: A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). Experienced in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from ECTs. Passionate about History and able to convey that passion to students of all abilities. An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning. A great History Teacher Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across the relevant Key Stages. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school. Participate actively in departmental meetings, planning, and development activities. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
