Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will report into the Lead Shift Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of the production machines by minimising downtime during day-to-day operations, PPM's fault finding, and repair.
Description
As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining plant and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
2. Identifying spare parts to effect repairs using machine manufacturer's manuals and ordering through stores.
3. Maintaining electrical standards and records in accordance with ISO 9001 and 9002.
4. Following up on outstanding issues to a successful conclusion.
5. Maintaining and improving plant efficiency through planned PPMs of production machines.
6. Carrying out weekly detailed inspections, maintaining log and defect report sheets.
7. Completing detailed daily logbook reports.
8. Reporting any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.
9. Carrying out SUSA discussions and monthly internal safety audits.
10. Undergoing training as required by the needs of the business.
11. Performing any other duties within the limits of the skills and capabilities of the post holder.
Profile
The successful candidate must hold an electrical engineering qualification (ideally at least HND L5) and have experience working in an FMCG production environment. Ideally, the candidate will have experience with:
1. Steam systems
2. Hydraulics
3. Pneumatics
4. PPM/TPM maintenance operations
5. Working with PLCs, HMIs, AC and DC motors, drivers, and inverters
You must also be able to work on your own initiative, be proactive and problem-solve, have a meticulous eye for detail, work within a team environment, and possess good communication and IT skills.

* Current shift pattern is a 12-hour shift working across days and nights, on a 36-hour working week.
