Promo Planning sits within the Content Products team charged with looking after one of our most powerful and effective tools to communicate with our customers. Our primary objective is to excite and educate our valued customers about Sky’s top-tier content, channels, and services. As the Media Planning Lead (Planning) you will be responsible for overseeing the team that manages the on air promo plans & continuity: ensuring we’re reaching the right target audience with the best messages the optimum amount of times. What you'll do: Produce effective and innovative on-air plans that raise awareness of Sky’s key content, products and services and help to deliver against business objectives. Build on-air Continuity plans to help promote Sky’s content. Establish relationships with a number of different stakeholders across the business – confidently presenting back our On Air plans and strategy. Be involved & lead in department projects and support across the team. Talent development – help your team to achieve their own ambitious objectives and have regular mentoring sessions to guide them through their career progression What you'll bring: Outstanding communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A proven ability to craft compelling narratives and convey complex ideas to senior stakeholders and leaders with clarity and conviction. Confident presenter: Must be comfortable frequently presenting and talking to your team as well as external groups of 15-20. Excellent collaborator: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues with a range of expertise (e.g. developers, analysts, marketing etc). Management skills: With a track record of experience in managing, mentoring & coaching others, you must be able to consider the objectives and output of your team as well as handling your own workload. Technical aptitude: You will need to gain a deep understanding of a number of new systems and operational workflows and be comfortable contributing to technical conversations as you manage and improve upon them for your team’s benefit. Industry expert: Demonstrated knowledge of how linear broadcast and on-demand TV works. A familiarity with media planning practices as well as the tools and software used (e.g. Techedge, Advantedge/BARB) is a bonus. A passion for TV: Our team sits at the heart of Sky’s amazing content, as such a wider knowledge & passion for the broader TV landscape is a requirement.
