Then join Dimensions as a Female Support Worker enabling six people, with Learning Disabilities and complex health needs, who live at our Supported Living Home in Barnet to enjoy an independent life.
This role enjoys a great mixture of teamwork and one-to-one time with the people we support, allowing Support Workers to enjoy a supportive team atmosphere while also building fantastic relationships with the people we support. The people we support choose what they want to do with their day, part of your role as a Support Worker will be to promote and encourage this.
Activities Support Workers may be involved with include:
1. Supporting 5 ladies and 1 gentleman; all with profound and complex learning disabilities and high health needs
2. High standards of personal care along with medication
3. Assisting with shopping and having nice meals out
4. Doing arts and crafts
5. Attending day services
6. We also have a music man coming so we have a little sing along or discoes.
7. Reflexology
8. Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (this may include – but not be limited to – finances, shopping, cooking & personal care)
Shift patterns:
Early shifts – 07:00 - 14.30
Late shifts 14.00 - 21.30
Weekend work is expected along with the occasional bank holidays as permanent members of staff.
Dimensions Support Workers do not need prior experience in Health Care Assistant or Social Care roles as full training is given.
