Location: Maryport – Cumbria (Hybrid working: home and office from our Maryport office)
Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £23,464 plus benefits including Health Care Cash Plan

We offer an exciting opportunity to join our Income Collections Team as a Community Housing Assistant. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service and safeguarding our income.
You will be part of a national team focused on income collection, including managing former tenant arrears, case management, and administrative tasks related to Universal Credit, among others. Collaboration with colleagues and external partners is key to our success.

What You Bring:
* A positive, proactive attitude with good organization skills and initiative
* A passion for excellent customer service and helping others
* Confidence in working collaboratively with colleagues and partners
* Knowledge of housing management, law, income, and Universal Credit is desirable but not essential
* Ability to navigate technology and update records effectively
Meet Our Team:
We are more than just a team; we are a 'work family'. Our line manager, Vicky, has over 7 years at Home Group and 16 years in housing roles. Our team of six Community Housing Assistants supports each other and our customers nationwide.
Job Details:
* Flexible working: blend of home and office work with provided technical equipment
* Self-management: responsible for your schedule while attending key appointments
* Background check: a Standard DBS check will be conducted, paid for by us
About You:
You are dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service, with a keen interest in income protection. You work well with others, including external partners and internal teams, and pay attention to detail. Empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism are essential. Experience in debt collection, housing management, law, or Universal Credit is advantageous.
