We are seeking a passionate and proactive Business Development Manager to join our UK Sales team. In this role, you will drive growth in the B2B sector, strengthen existing client relationships, onboard new trade clients, and work closely with interior designers and architects to build product specifications. The successful candidate will handle inbound enquiries while focusing on generating new business through proactive, outbound methods.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing trade clients, ensuring regular engagement and identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships.
* Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, providing outstanding support, addressing enquiries, and offering bespoke solutions.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are executed successfully, delivering a seamless client experience.
New Business Development (B2B Focus)
* Manage inbound enquiries efficiently, ensuring prompt responses and high conversion rates.
* Actively seek new business opportunities, focusing on B2B sales and onboarding trade clients for repeat, high-volume orders.
* Utilise outbound sales techniques such as cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach to generate new leads and grow the business.
* Engage potential clients in the construction, design, and architectural sectors, presenting our innovative acoustic solutions.
* Create tailored pitches and proposals that clearly demonstrate the value of our products and services.
Specification Building with Designers and Architects
* Partner closely with interior designers and architects to incorporate our acoustic products into project specifications.
* Attend design meetings, site visits, and industry events to foster strong relationships and showcase our product offerings.
* Provide expert advice and technical support, ensuring our solutions meet the specific requirements of each project.
Project Estimation
* Produce accurate project estimates, covering material requirements, labour costs, and timelines in line with client specifications.
* Prepare comprehensive quotes and proposals that align with company pricing strategies and meet client expectations.
* Work alongside the internal estimating team to refine project scopes and maintain competitive pricing.
Market Research & Strategy
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to inform sales strategies and product development.
* Contribute to the creation of sales and marketing plans that support growth objectives within the UK market.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, case studies, and promotional content.
Reporting & Performance
* Track and report on sales performance, client activities, and market feedback, providing regular updates to the Head of Sales - UK & Ireland.
* Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, demonstrating a strategic and results-driven approach.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction, design, or building materials sector.
* Strong understanding of B2B sales, with experience working alongside architects, designers, and trade clients.
* Demonstrable success in generating new business through outbound sales strategies.
* Experience in project estimation and preparing detailed quotes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture strong client relationships.
* Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a strategic, solutions-oriented approach.
* Willingness to travel across the UK for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
