We currently have an opportunity available for a Water Efficiency Delivery Manager to join our team working in either Exeter or Bristol. You will join us on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months, and in return, you will receive a salary of circa £48,000 per annum plus benefits. The role As Water Efficiency Delivery Manager you will lead and coordinate water efficiency initiatives to optimise water use and promote sustainable practices, covering the South West Water, Bristol Water, Bournemouth Water and Isles of Scilly regions. You will own and deliver the water efficiency related activities and will have opportunity to participate in the improvement of the delivery – continuously enhancing water efficiency. By leveraging your expertise in water management, conservation techniques, and project management, you will drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, and achieve measurable outcomes in water conservation efforts. You will make a tangible impact on water resource sustainability and contribute to our commitment to environmental stewardship. What you'll be doing: Develop and implement water efficiency strategies aligned with our sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. Plan, execute, and monitor programs to reduce water consumption and promote sustainable practices. Conduct assessments to identify and improve water conservation opportunities across operations and facilities. Enhance water usage data capture systems, collaborating with the Modelling Data and Systems (MDS) team to ensure timely delivery. Oversee water usage data collection, analysis, and performance tracking to meet targets and drive improvements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate reporting and documentation. Manage budgets for water efficiency projects, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and alignment with SWWBB priorities. Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to successfully implement initiatives. Identify and integrate new technologies or system upgrades to optimise water use and reduce waste. Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor program effectiveness and progress. Collaborate with stakeholders to gain support and align initiatives with broader team goals. Stay updated on industry best practices and UK water efficiency policies, implementing relevant improvements. What we are looking for: Keen interest in development and implementation of innovative water efficiency strategies and projects, driving measurable reductions in water consumption while fostering a culture of sustainability. Understanding of water resources management principles, conservation techniques, and sustainability practices, supported by a Scientific, Environmental, or Engineering-related degree. Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and managing water efficiency initiatives, with skills in budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and timely project delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills to influence, engage, and build relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulators, inspiring support for water conservation efforts. Resilient and capable of navigating complex challenges, evolving regulatory landscapes, and troubleshooting issues with effective mitigation strategies. Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and a track record of taking ownership of tasks and delivering results through others.
