The clinical duties of the post will include the following:
* Participation in one stop symptomatic, wound check and results clinics across Brighton
* Contributing to the care of the in-patients and out-patients clinic at Brighton
* Theatre assistant - participating in operating lists, independent operating if experience allows this but under supervision
* Administrative duties associated with the care of patients
* Teaching BSMS students attending the unit.

We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity within the Integrated Breast Service for two full-time substantive Specialty Doctor posts in Breast Surgery. This will be based at Worthing & Chichester with some cross site working (Brighton & Princess Royal), as part of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. These roles will be full time 10 PA posts with the opportunity to cover all aspects of the surgical service from one stop 2WW rule clinics, theatre support and depending on experience some potential independent operating plus follow up activity. The successful candidates will join a busy breast surgical service and providing breast screening to a population of over 135,000 women and receiving over 6000 GP referrals and treating around 500 new breast cancers in Brighton. There is a stand-alone department at park centre Brighton with modern digital equipment including tomosynthesis and VAB/E. There are 6.5 Consultant breast surgeon posts working across Worthing, Chichester and Brighton. They have developed a good reputation within the Trust in terms of extending the boundaries of reconstructive expertise. You will be fully supported in having a senior support when needed. You will be encouraged to develop the service particularly in areas not currently catered for such as menopausal symptom clinic.
