Plan, perform, interpret and report a wide range of routine and non-routine Neurophysiology Investigations to a high level of competence on adults, children and babies including subjects with physical disability, learning difficulties, with challenging behaviour and barriers to understanding. Develop and implement protocols, policies and guidelines that impact on the Trust and other Healthcare providers relating to this service. Provides specialist advice to Consultants and other Healthcare workers. Provide information on the appropriateness of specialised investigations taking into consideration the patients medical history and provisional diagnosis. Provide a point of contact from Consultants for patients referrals. Work collaboratively with other professionals; medical, Nursing, Technical, Portering, Transport, Administrative staff and agencies to ensure service(s) meet changing healthcare needs. Contributes to the planning and organisation of information resources, ensuring effective and administrative patient reporting and data storage. Develop and maintain the section database and teaching materials. Initiate and Participate in Clinical Audit. Support for stock control of consumables and contribute to procurement of new/replacement equipment for the services. Communicates with Consultant Neurophysiologists and other medical staff concerning test results. Communicates service related information to patients, carers and other service users.
