Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor Location: South East England, Surrey, Guildford Salary: £20 - £30 per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored support and guidance to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities. Deliver engaging lessons and activities to enhance students' academic and social skills. Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting. Knowledge of SEN regulations and best practises in inclusive education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a SEN tutor in a secondary school. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of various learning disabilities and developmental disorders. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Proficiency in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs. Training in specific interventions for supporting students with SEN. Working Conditions: Flexible working hours based on students' schedules. Classroom and one-on-one tutoring sessions with students. Regular collaboration with school staff and parents.
