Affinity Water, the UK's largest water-only company, is looking for a Solutions Architect with extensive experience in designing and delivering modern systems to support our Digital Transformation Programme. You will join the Data & Architecture team, collaborating closely with Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers to create scalable business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architectural Leadership: Set standards and patterns, ensuring system development aligns with business demands and technology standards.
* Solution Design: Translate business and technical requirements into effective architectural blueprints, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
* Documentation: Develop and present architectural artefacts and options to stakeholders. Document standards, designs, and models.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, challenge existing solutions, and recommend improvements.
* Continual Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Train and develop Engineers on new trends.
Experience Required:
* 5+ years in technology solutions within an architectural framework.
* Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs.
* Experience designing enterprise-grade solutions.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging up to C-Level.
* Proven experience delivering scalable, secure solutions on time and within budget.
* Knowledge of common architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
* Experience with a public cloud platform, preferably AWS.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Agile development environment experience.
Desirable:
* Programming languages (SQL, C#, Python, Java).
* AWS or cloud experience.
* Water Industry regulatory reporting knowledge.
