Procurement
1. Drive commercial and added value benefits through negotiation of best value Group Frameworks / Agreements aligned with the Group Supply Chain Strategy, including:Preferred Supplier Agreements (PSA)Plant Agreements (PA)Preferred Manufacturer Agreements (PMA)Third Party Agreements (TPA)Sub-Contractor Frameworks (SCF)Blue Collar Agency RecruitmentPermanent RecruitmentConsultants
2. Make recommendations and businesses cases to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Director and other stakeholders for new group agreements and frameworks. Including presentation of data, recommendation papers and presentations where appropriate
3. Ensure that products to be procured via Group Frameworks are compliant with all legislative/statutory requirements
4. Develop and execute contracts with key supply chain partners identified as best value via the strategic procurement process
5. Manage strategic relationships with key supply chain partners through a regular series of structured/formal review sessions and information exchange, supported by BU stakeholders where appropriate. Driving consistent approaches across the business and significantly improving quality and service levels.
6. Police the frameworks at Strategic level to ensure they are adhered to and not usurped, tackling slippage appropriately with supply chain and business units
7. Work with all business unit teams to ensure identified direct and third-party rebate opportunities are maximised and recovered
8. Liaison between business units and Preferred Suppliers & Manufacturersto ensure that Value Enhancement, Innovation and Saving opportunities are maximised
9. Procurement & supply chain representative to ensure alignment with PMO activities including development of the dashboard
10. Manage the applications for rebate payments and work with the finance teams to ensure monies are paid to invoiced terms
Supply Chain
11. Development of our Sub-Contractor Database and alignment of our database with third party data sources
12. Collation of various data sources, aligning them with our PMO dashboard and analyse of trends for risk management and to identify improvement opportunities. Sharing and communicating relative information with the wider business
13. Contributes to and develops our performance measurement culture and processes – ensuring the process and understanding of why its required is embedded within the business and the tangible metrics (CR, %NR, Programme, Financial Health, Safety, Environmental, ESG) and subjective metrics (project team scoring) are mined/collated accordingly and used strategically across the wider business
14. Links performance measurement to our supply chain databases and PMO dashboard and analyses information accordingly to provide early warnings and opportunities to the wider business
15. Leads on strategic supply chain engagement via a variety of mediums including social media, engagement events, annual conference(s) and builds a recognition & reward incentive/awards
16. Embeds a formalised performance improvement process aligned to performance measurement and relationship maturity matrix, and works with the wider business to ensure a consistent tangible approach is adopted and measured
17. Measure and improve our supply chains maturity in terms of ESG
18. Be a leader in bringing innovation to the wider group by aligning our group business(s) with supply chain innovations, trialling new products and solutions and developing business cases where appropriate for wider application/use
General
19. Identification of Supply & Demand pressures proactively, engaging the supply chain and ensuring risk mitigation strategies that have been developed and utilised – sharing information with the wider business
20. Form and issue Procurement & Supply Chain Advice Notes to the Group
21. Continuously seeks opportunities to add value and drive efficiency
22. Drive process automation and use of data within our own teams and the wider business
23. Strategic ‘project work’ as assigned aligned or identified
24. Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure a best value procurement culture is embedded and adopted within all parts of the business both strategically and operationally
25. Engages all parts of the business – ensuring mutual support and understanding of respective objectives with business units and central functions
26. Supports Procurement & Supply Chain integration of new acquisitions as directed
27. Develop and deliver improved communications internally and externally
28. Supports the business as required with strategic procurement expertise
29. Ensure that United Living SHEQ standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.
Qualifications
30. > 10 years’ experience in Procurement & Supply Chain roles in the Construction sector, with additional sector experience also a preference
31. Construction and/or Business-related Qualifications – including NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc
32. MCIPS

33. Proficient IT skills particularly in Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
34. Ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data quickly and accurately – utilising information to identify risks and opportunities
35. Utilises data to support decisions and business improvement and able to represent data accurately to back up business cases & recommendations – both orally and visually
