This role involves but is not limited to:
1. Review and manage the level of WIP in the business liaising with relevant fee earners, heads of department and financial management.
2. Deliver a high-quality billing and collections process to all fee earners within the business and monitor the effectiveness of the process.
3. Understand the firm’s billing rules and take responsibility for compliance.
4. Support the billing write off process and ensure any material amounts are brought to the attention of the Credit Manager.
5. Work with the Credit Manager in reporting within the case management system to detail the situation on a monthly basis and track progress.
6. Assist with cashflow forecasting for the group.
Requirements:
1. Understanding of SRA regulations and regulatory environment.
2. Ability to plan and prioritise, produce high quality work while handling multiple projects.
3. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Experience working within a law firm billing environment.
5. Resilience and ability to challenge appropriately.
6. Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
7. Ability to work under own initiative.
8. Strong communication skills.
9. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
