At North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC), we are changing and enhancing our leadership roles to focus on clinically led decision-making and quality patient care.
We are welcoming applications for the role of Deputy Medical Director - Digital / Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO). The successful postholder will lead the Trust's use of digital technologies to provide safer clinical care and enhance patient safety.
Main Duties of the Job
The Trust is embarking on a £40m programme to procure and implement a modular, integrated, and interoperable electronic patient record (EPR). This initiative aims to provide clinicians with seamless access to patient information at the point of care.
To be successful, you will have the skills and enthusiasm to drive change and innovation, acting as a bridge between digital and clinical teams while protecting patient interests and data.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
* Medical practitioner with current (unrestricted) GMC registration and an appointed Consultant on the specialist register
* Extensive experience as a medical or dental Consultant
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Further training or experience in clinical leadership or supporting change management processes
* Senior medical management/leadership experience
* Management Qualification or equivalent evidence
* NHS leadership and management qualification or equivalent evidence
* Postgraduate management/clinical qualification or equivalent
* Experience of working with other public sectors
* Evidence of contributions to regional and national networks
* National role and/or reputation in chosen field
Knowledge and Experience
* Leadership expertise in complex health systems
* Track record of managing serious incidents and delivering improvements in patient experience
* Experience in clinical leadership at a strategic level
* Knowledge of NHS governance and regulatory requirements
* Experience of developing an organisational culture that promotes clinical engagement in decision-making
Skills and Aptitudes
* Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of engagement
* Ability to lead and motivate others, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands
* Patient-focused approach, understanding the impact of the role on the patient journey
Other Requirements
* Ability to participate on a senior medical rota to support the organisation
* Ability to travel on Trust business within Cumbria and wider
