Purchasing Administrator
Your new company
Hays are working with a large Manufacturing company in Telford looking for a Purchasing Administrator on a permanent basis. This is an exciting role working in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve processing materials requirements from a SAP generated report to fulfill manufacturing requirements by effectively obtaining accurate prices and lead times of materials.
Your new role
As a Purchasing Administrator, your role will involve:
1. Working within the materials and purchasing department ensuring on-time delivery and availability of materials within budgetary limitations.
2. Expediting Purchase Orders.
3. Supplier management of activity and negotiations.
4. Maintaining physical stock levels to ensure materials are in accordance with manufacturing schedule and minimum stock levels.
5. Management and implementation of Call off Orders and Pricing Agreements.
6. Communication with intercompany departments daily to maintain deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
1. SAP Operating system knowledge (preferred but not essential).
2. Production focused with a positive and energetic disposition.
3. Commercial awareness to achieve purchasing objectives.
4. Disciplined and accurate approach to materials movement.
5. Proven ability to meet scheduled deadlines.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
