The role: The role of Marketing Executive, reporting to the Director of Marketing, will help us grow to the next stage of our development and the delivery of our plans. We are looking for a skilled marketing professional who will help us promote our services and products to the education sector. This is a Group role which means you will work across all brands within the Edwin Group. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of what makes people (our clients, targets and our people) tick, as well as a drive to deliver effective and high-quality marketing solutions. This is a hands-on role, and no two days will be the same. We are offering a full-time, permanent role, based at one of our key hub locations in either Newcastle or Sheffield. Responsibilities and key objectives of this role : Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, support the delivery of the marketing strategy. Collaborate across the business to uncover insights and deliver marketing and branding strategies for existing and new services or products. Understand and analyse key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analysis, campaign results, and consumer trends, and translate results into actionable insights. Campaign management : Assist in the planning, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns including social media, email marketing, and paid advertising. Content creation: Develop and curate engaging content for various platforms (social media, blog, email, website) that align with the brand’s tone of voice and marketing goals. Social media management: Manage the social media accounts, create and schedule posts, engage with the audience, and monitor performance metrics. Market research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies and initiatives. Analytics and reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives using tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, and CRM data to measure ROI. Collaborate with teams: Work closely with the sales, product, and individual businesses to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels. Email marketing: Assist in the creation and distribution of regular emails, newsletters and promotional emails, including audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis. Brand management : Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all touchpoints, including digital and print media. SEO and website optimisation: Optimise content for search engines (SEO) and ensure the website is up-to-date and offers engaging and useful content for the audience. Event support: Plan, prepare and promote attendance at events and conferences, preparing engaging high-quality displays and collateral as needed, and provide post-event reports and analysis to assess return on investment. Deliver marketing projects from beginning to end. Other tasks as required. Required knowledge, skills and qualifications Recognised qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Proven experience in a marketing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, PR and social media marketing. Proven ability to plan, track, measure, analyse, and report on ROI. Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X) and management tools (e.g., Hubspot and Monday.com). Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, SEO tools, email marketing platforms). Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights. Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Ability to work as part of a busy team, communicating well with stakeholders and negotiating and agreeing deadlines.
