Business Development Manager (National) Basic Salary £45 - £55k generous bonus, company car, mobile, laptop, pension etc. The Company An established manufacturer of specialist industrial fastener solutions with a reputation for innovation and quality looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to create further growth and to identify additional opportunities predominantly within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Heavy Industry and OEMs. The Role Business Development - identifying and converting prospects within the defined area focused on Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Heavy Industry and OEMs'. Account Management - develop and secure sales with existing key accounts that include operators, contractors, distributors and OEMs within Energy and Heavy Industry. Identify and develop market sector opportunities for industrial fastener product applications. Create and service sales enquiries in a new business development situation. Develop technical specifications for key accounts, prospective customers etc. Ensure specifications/tenders follow through from outset to completion. Report on sales activities and provide relevant information to sales management. You will spend your time face to face with your customers requiring the majority of your time on the road, proactively servicing their business needs. Your prime focus will be to actively win, retain and grow the business knowing you be able to count on professional back up and support from your team and colleagues at all times. The Candidate This candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' sales experience with relevant energy industries; Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Heavy Industries, OEMs etc. Will have a demonstrable track record of selling technical products; acoustic, insulation or passive fire experience would be a distinct advantage. A technical qualification such as engineering degree/HND etc. a huge bonus. Experience with industrial fasteners preferable. An ambitious, committed, confident, enthusiastic, resilient and goal-oriented field sales executive with strong account management skills and excellent business development experience. Highly professional with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. Naturally persuasive, creative and self-motivated, able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills The successful applicant will be self-confident and demonstrate excellent face-to-face communication skills.
