Job Summary: PHARMAQ Analytiq Ltd is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic histopathologist to join our UK team as well as be part of a global pathology group consisting of 13 pathologists. The position will involve the histopathological examination and reporting of diagnostic cases and research projects submitted through the UK histopathology service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Microscopic examination of aquatic pathology specimens and preparation of histopathology reports in a timely manner.
2. Provide customer support to histopathology clients.
3. Promote the growth of Pharmaq Analytiq by participating in conferences/workshops as well as developing and maintaining professional relationships/contact with clients.
4. Consult with and assist other members of the pathology team as needed to promote collegiality.
5. Work cohesively with all members of the laboratory team in ensuring that the very best services are always provided.
6. Participate in quality control programmes.
Required qualifications and skills:
1. A degree in veterinary science or equivalent.
2. Experience in fish pathology or veterinary anatomic pathology.
3. Able to work independently on routine tasks.
4. Computer skills are required.
5. Board certification in veterinary pathology (ACVP, ECVP or FRCPath).
6. Postgraduate qualification related to fish pathology.
7. Clinical experience in fish health.
Work Hours: Full time, 37hr/week.
