We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Account Executive for the Midlands area to actively drive our sales growth in this region.
Your tasks:
1. Increase brand awareness of IKA in the Midlands area (Oxford, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge).
2. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and companies.
3. Proactively create new opportunities and penetrate new accounts to drive growth.
4. Focus on increasing sales and achieving annual targets.
5. Report and maintain data in the CRM system.
6. Work closely with the sales team to identify and implement new business opportunities.
7. Travel within the territory is required; home office is 1-2 days a week.
8. Awareness of the territory and competitive landscape would be an advantage.
9. Meet with customers to understand existing and future challenges.
10. Manage and coordinate tradeshows within the region and participate in them.
11. Make sales analysis and submit weekly job report.
12. Provide support with demonstrations, installations and customer training.
Your profile:
1. Degree in a scientific or economic field (e.g. biology, chemistry or a related subject).
2. Experience in sales or customer service is an advantage, but not essential. General work experience is expected.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and partners.
4. Independent and structured way of working and willingness to take responsibility.
5. Experience with Windows-based software, including MS Office, CRM and MRP software.
6. Full driving license and willingness to travel.
7. Resident in the UK, ideally in the Oxford, Birmingham, Nottingham or Cambridge area.
